K-Project, a program to give visibility to indie strategy games

Slitherine will select the most interesting projects to help independent developers realize their vision.

Slitherine has launched a program to give support and visibility to video games independent of the strategy genre. This has been announced by the company in a press release, where it has defined its project as a tool for smaller studios to publicize their titles. The idea is to help products that are already in progress, without asking for anything in return as the company has reported.

K-Project is an activity program that allows developers to show their games to a larger audience. "Last year, more than 9,000 games were released on Steam alone," says Marco Minoli, director of marketing for Slitherine. “K-Project is our way of helping independent strategy game developers gain visibility; our act of love to remember how we started and thus help others with the same dream.

How are they selected

Slitherine searches for ongoing projects that already have a demo or video. “We are not just going to look at presentations or design documents. We want to help games that are already in preparation ”, adds Minoli. The manager asserts that they are not going to ask for anything in exchange, “we are simply going to help them launch the product to the market. This is something that is valid for all our contracts ”. They claim they have never kept IP as an editor. "We have been developers and we know what that is."

Slitherine plans to invest 5% of all profits made from her indie video games in K-Project, which will start with a sum of $ 100,000. This investment will be used to improve and publish the chosen games in the coming months. "Right now, we already have three games on the starting track." The first of these, Tactical Troops: Anthracite Shift has already been announced and is a turn-based tactical title. All information about it, on the website.

In the press release, the company recalls the number of projects that go on sale on the different digital platforms. Today, getting visibility is practically impossible for many of these small studios.
