Serious Sam 4 arrives in August for Steam and Stadia

The game will be console exclusive to Stadia until 2021, which is when it will be released on PS4 and Xbox One.

A decade has passed since Croteam released the third part of Serious Sam, and although the fourth release had been announced for years, it had not just materialized. It is now official that the game will be released this August for PC Steam and, exclusively on consoles, Stadia. It will also hit PS4 and Xbox One, but in 2021.

The return of a classic

The main premise of the fourth installment is "more". More enemies, more weapons and more action. Serious Sam has always been characterized by being an FPS without complexes, without narrative infulas and based on the idea of ending in the most spectacular way possible with hordes of enemies. The fourth part promises to raise all this to the potential enism with the Legion system, with which "hundreds of thousands" of Mental's forces can be put on the ground at the same time, giving us the opportunity to participate in authentic orgies of destruction.

Many of the icons of the saga return, apart from Sam himself: the cannon, the double shotgun, the rocket launcher, the chainsaw-launcher the beheaded kamikaze who pounces on us screaming, the bull man … apart from new additions that will contribute to generate an action in which we must always be in motion. In addition, we can play alone or accompanied by up to four players, with whom we can adjust the difficulty of the campaign to have the challenge we want.

The game will come at a price of 33.99 and can now be booked with the additional reward of the Tommy Gun weapon skin – very appropriate now that the arrival of the Mafia Trilogy is news. You can also buy a "deluxe" version that includes the soundtrack, a digital art book and the same skin from the reserve for € 41.99. It remains to be seen what August day will be.
