Valorant after the beta: what remains and what is lost

The new Riot Games title is set for its final week of testing before its final release, set for June 2.

There are only a few days left for Valorant, the new production of Riot Games, to officially launch on PC. The title, which will operate under a free-to-play model, has been in closed beta for weeks, so not all players have been able to test the gaming experience. Be that as it may, everything achieved in the beta will not carry over into the final game. To make clear exactly what will be preserved and what will be removed, the company itself has shared a thread on its official Twitter account.

In order to be fair to new players, all progress made will be restarted. This means that neither unlocked agents nor contracts will be kept. The only exception, they say, is the closed beta rewards (player card, charm, etc). On the other hand, all purchases and transactions made through the store will be lost, although Valorant points plus an additional 20% will be refunded. "That is, if you bought 1000 PV, 1200 PV will be refunded at launch (even if you haven't spent it)."

June 2 on PC

Geoff Keighley, organizer of The Game Awards, is also responsible for The Summer Game Fest, a digital fair that takes place these days and throughout the coming months, and that offers information and announcements about video games. The journalist warned that there would be something new about Valorant and so it was. In addition to the release date (June 2), Riot Games confirmed that a new agent, a new mode, and a never-before-seen map would be available later that day.

Valorant servers will be deactivated next Thursday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m., although the last games will begin at 5:59 p.m. This decision has been made to prepare the servers for launch.
