The revamped version of the Wii classic introduces a highly refined visual appearance from the original title.
Although Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition won't go on sale for a few days, some stores have already started shipping copies of the video game. This has allowed the first graphical performance analyzes to begin to come to the fore. According to @masagratordev, the remastered version of the Monolith Soft classic introduces dynamic resolution, but there is a difference depending on whether you play it on television or in portable mode.
Thus, in both cases it works at 30 fps. However, the resolution varies as follows: in portable mode, it ranges from 378p to 540p, when the screen is capable of 720p. On the other hand, when you connect the console to the television or monitor, it will never reach 1080p. This is so because the resolution varies between 504p and 720p. The set includes a sharpness filter with options to regulate the intensity.

The novelties of the Definitive Edition
The return of Xenoblade Chronicles to Nintendo Switch comes with all the original content of the Wii game and with some extras that go beyond the graphic changes. Monolith has introduced a brand new epilogue that will be accessible without the need to complete the adventure (a decision made for those who already enjoyed the original game). Lasting over 10 hours, a new map, and new combat mechanics, Connected Futures promises to offer new details about the story.
