Ubisoft presents Anno History Collection

The collection proposes a new way to access the most classic versions of the dean strategy saga

Ubisoft has announced good news for management lovers by introducing a pack called the Anno History Collection that includes the first four installments of the saga: Anno 1602: Creation of a New World, Anno 1503, The New World, Anno 1701 and Anno 1404. , as well as The Sunken Dragon expansions for 1701 and Venice for 1404. The versions do not include major innovations, incorporating the same elements and graphics, but with support for current resolutions, equipment compatibility and borderless screen mode, in addition to multiplayer and matchmaking. The compatibility is such that we can take saved games from the original games to the new versions if we wish.

New world architects

The original Max Design and then Blue Byte games became real bestsellers in Germany, with the original 1602 being the best-selling game of all time in the country from 1998 to 2003, rubbing shoulders with other great hits from the region like The Settlers or Die Volker, responsible for making the Central European nation a key point when it comes to selling management and strategy games, something that lasts today. Surely the option to replay these classics will be cause for celebration for a good number of nostalgics.

Of course, Ubisoft's strategy when selling this pack is somewhat peculiar. The complete pack with all four can only be purchased at Uplay for € 39.99. The games can also be purchased separately but the original two and the ones that carry the most sentimental drag, 1602 and 1503, can only be purchased at Uplay for € 9.99 each. The updated version of 1701 will be available for € 9.99 only on Uplay and Epic Store and the latest Anno 1404 will be available for € 14.99 on Uplay, Epic Store and Steam. Why? who knows.
