TFT (Teamfight Tactics) - Patch Notes 10.12; all changes and news

We detail all the changes that patch 10.12 brings to the TFT (Teamfight Tactics) goal, including adjustments to the champions and much more.

The Riot Games squad works so that every two weeks Teamfight Tactics (TFT) players enjoy a variation in the meta that refreshes the gameplay of the title. This May 26 we have experienced the most drastic change since the beginning of Set 3. Below, we detail all the modifications of this patch 10.12 and we remind you that we did the same with the notes of patch 10.10, in case you are curious to check how the game goal has progressed from one update to another.

Which champions leave TFT?

As mentioned in the official patch notes, the development team sought to identify those champions whose roles collided with existing ones and who could also eliminate the entire goal without altering it. Argumentally it is justified because the door of the Void is closing and therefore there are various champions who have had to leave. They are joined by the Valkyries who have already fulfilled their legend and can leave the game stage, in addition to other additional characters. Specifically, they are all of the following:

  • Kha’Zix
  • Cho’Gath
  • Vel’Koz
  • Kai’Sa
  • Kayle
  • Miss fortune
  • Sona
  • Kassadin
  • Lux

New champions for pre-existing attributes

This leaves a gap that Riot's team has filled by adding new champions for pre-existing attributes that change the compositions that players can make up. We detail the additions to the template:

Vayne – Introduces himself as a Rank 3 Champion belonging to both Cyber and Sniper. His special ability is called End Time, and it allows him to concentrate for ten seconds to perform a cartwheel to get away from his nearest target every third attack. In addition, during the somersault Vayne becomes invisible and after it his attack inflicts 180 (200/240% of his attack damage. The most notable change that this champion brings is the possibility of reaching six cybernetics without depending on units epic.

Vayne

Zed: Arrive as Rank 2 Champion and belong to Rebel and Infiltrator. His passive ability, "Contempt for the Weak," activates every third attack, dealing 20/40/80 bonus magic damage and stealing 25/40/80% of his target's current attack damage. On the other hand, Zed brings various elements to the Rebel lineup such as being able to jump away from the cluster of rebels to offer them a way to separate. As such, it is especially useful against carries as it can steal all accumulated attack damage.

Riven: This new Rank 4 Champion will be part of both the Chrono and Swordsmen group. His ability has been dubbed "Power Slash", thanks to which he slides, takes a shield (300/450/900), and attacks doing 100/150/450 magic damage. In addition, on every third roll, the champion performs her signature leap and projects a wave of energy that deals 400/600/1800 magic damage to enemies. The most notable change Riven brings to swordsmen is that it's feasible and highly advisable to equip her with magic damage items that boost both her shield and damage during ultimate ability.

3 new attributes and 11 new champions

War Machine – (2/4/6)

Attribute: After inflicting or taking damage 10 times, War Machines activate a special effect that depends on their current life. If they have more than half their health, they deal 75/150/225 magic damage to the nearest enemy. On the other hand, if they have less, 75/150/225 heals.

Champions:

  • Cassiopeia: Rank 3 Mystic

  • Illaoi: Rank 1 Fighter

  • Nocturne: Rank 2 Infiltrator

  • Kog'Maw: Rank 2 Gunner

  • Viktor: Rank 4 Sorcerer

  • Urgot: Rank 5 Protector

How do they work

The main characteristic of this attribute is to allow champions to heal after taking a large amount of damage. Thanks to this great resistance and their ability to inflict additional damage, they can receive and distribute damage in equal parts to adapt to each situation. Therefore, it is a flexible attribute that adapts well to a multitude of different compositions and offers unique abilities to each champion. For example, Kog'Maw and Viktor deal damage equal to a percentage of health, Cassiopeia destroys shields, and Urgot can destroy anything.

Astronaut (3)

Attribute: Reduces the mana cost of astronauts by 30.

Champions:

  • Nautilus: Rank 2 Vanguard

  • Bardo: Rank 3 Mystic

  • Gnar: Rank 4 Fighter

  • Teemo: Rank 4 Sniper

Each of the astronaut units brings totally different qualities to the battlefield. Nautilus stuns the front line of enemy combat, Gnar shoves all enemy units within range, and Teemo plagues his famed magic damage mushrooms on the game board. For his part, Bardo creates meeps, which can be sold in exchange for one experience point each, which will allow you to level up faster than other players.

Exemplary (1)

Attribute: The team's basic attacks deal magic damage.

Champion:

  • Janna: Guardian of the Stars Rank 5

Janna is the legendary new addition to the TFT roster, bringing an influential ability that pushes enemies and improves attack speed for allies. Janna's ultimate ability causes the majority of the damage our composition does to be magical, which will give us an advantage over avant-garde compositions. However, this same quality will put us in a tight spot against the mystics.

Other changes: items, attributes and champions

Of course, this patch also includes minor modifications to different game variables, supporting this goal twist. We detail them below:

Attributes

  • Chrono has improved in both 4 and 6 units and now you can have 8 of them.

  • Dark Star: changed from 3/6/9 to 2/4/6/8. Dark Waves are now upgraded when an ally dies, regardless of their attribute or faction.

  • Mechapilot: All changes have yet to be confirmed, but it has been ensured that when the mecha is destroyed, the pilots take significantly more damage than before.

  • Sniper: Goes to divide 2/4.

  • Vanguard: its division changes to 2/4/6.

Champions

  • Aurelion Sol: their ships drain the mana of the adversaries.

  • Ezreal – becomes much more utility focused and can use her ability much earlier, but sacrifices a certain amount of damage she does overall.

  • Ekko – Launch your skill in advance and attack multiple times instead of once. In addition, it manages to reduce the attack speed of the enemies it reaches.

  • Jhin: his attack speed increases along with his star level.

  • Syndra: If you manage to finish off your target using your ability, the additional orbs are directed towards the next target.

Objects

  • Infinity Edge: Wearer's critical chance is 100%, dealing less additional damage.

  • Rapid Firecannon: In addition to adding more range to the wearer's attacks, this item will make its attacks unable to fail.

  • Seraph's Embrace: Replaced by the iconic blue Summoner's Rift Enhancement. After casting an ability, the wielder's mana is restored to 20.

  • Pyrotechnic Charge: Replaced by War Machine Armor, which converts the wearer into a War Machine unit.

Galaxies

  • No new galaxies are added in this version.
  • The first galaxy that was implemented is eliminated, the Lilac Nebula.
  • In patch 10.13 a new galaxy will arrive and another one will be removed in each version throughout the duration of this set.

Others

  • The number of rank three units has grown from 16 to 18 copies each.
  • Champions are sold for their full value, regardless of their star rating.
  • Neeko's help works regardless of the number of copies available for each champion. If there are no copies left, create a new and temporary one that can only be used by the player who used the object.

These changes can already be experienced on the League of Legends PBE server, and will be officially implemented in the game in a few days.
