Resident Evil prepares an announcement for June 10

The five best Resident Evil in history, according to Metacritic

Members of the Resident Evil ambassador program have received a notice inviting them to stay tuned for that date.

Capcom prepares an announcement related to Resident Evil for June 10. Players attached to the series' ambassador program, Resident Evil Ambassador, have been notified of the Japanese company's plans for its most successful license; although no more details have transpired.

In fact, said date is flexible, since it can be read that the announcement is planned for "around" that day. “We cannot reveal details of the decision; is in process ”, they add in the note. After the success of Resident Evil 2 (2019) and Resident Evil 3 (2020), both marketed as remakes of their original namesakes, those from Osaka have asked fans about what they would like to see next about this franchise.

What we know about the future of Resident Evil

That Capcom works on something related to Resident Evil is something that has already been confirmed unofficially in the past. The Claire (Resident Evil 2) actress has already made it known that she was working on an unannounced project this past April, accompanied by other recurring voice actors on license.

Despite the rumors about a possible remake of Resident Evil 4 and the next logical step in terms of numbered installments, what we understand as Resident Evil 8, the truth is that Capcom has not hinted or anticipated anything officially. Of course, last October they themselves confirmed that they have new remakes for their sagas in their plans; they did not say specifically which ones. If it depended on the FreeGameTips community, in our survey the next remake candidate is not RE4 but Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

With more than 100 million copies sold among all its iterations and reissues, we are talking about the most successful IP in the history of the company, ahead of Street Fighter or Monster Hunter. Here we review the Top-10 in full in the saga.
