It is defined as an action-adventure experience that connects with Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, the new world of the Disney Land theme park.
Vader Immortal is the latest universe-based virtual reality video game created by George Lucas, but it won't be the only one. ILMxLAB and Lucasfilm's specialized immersion studio have announced the development of Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge, an action-adventure experience designed in collaboration with Oculus Studios. The title will be released sometime this year and will connect to the new location built at the Disney Land Resort (California) and Walt Disney World (Florida) theme parks.
"We are very excited to have fans dive into Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge this year," says Vicki Dobbs Beck, ILMxLAB executive. “This action-packed adventure not only delivers on the promise of connecting and complementing the experience by extending the lore of the Black Spire Outpost, but represents an important step in our mission to guide the transition from storytelling — a form of one-way communication — to storyLIVING ”, which consists of being within a world and“ making decisions with consequences ”that guide the experience.

Between episode VIII and IX
This new video game will be set between Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. It will take place just outside the Black Spire post, on the planet Batuu. Players will have the opportunity to explore that world in virtual reality, which will feature new and iconic characters from the past, although specific names have not yet been detailed. They promise multiple playable styles and difficulty options for the game to accommodate all types of players.
The future of Star Wars in video games goes through the Jedi sequel Fallen Order, anticipated by Electronic Arts itself, as well as by the mysterious Project Maverick, not officially announced. There is still a lot to explore in the galaxy far, far away from Star Wars.
