Free June games from PS Plus, Xbox Gold, Twitch Prime and Stadia Pro

We review all the free games and when they will be available to players subscribed to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia and PC services.

We reached the equator of the season. 2020 is being an exceptional year for everyone for many reasons, but June is the month in which we definitely begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel and, as far as the leisure that unites us is concerned, it will be a month where the new generation consoles begin to be news more than ever. As always, we have prepared a compilation with all the free games offered in the subscription programs of PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and Twitch Prime, so that you have at a glance everything we can get at no additional cost.

During the last days of May we have been learning about the news included in the loyalty programs of Sony, Microsoft, Amazon and Google. A month full of quality awaits us in these titles, because contrary to other occasions this year the presence of high-quality games shines with force and variety.

We also remember that leaving aside everything we will see next, from FreeGameTips we have collected in updated articles almost daily the best free video games for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch and this publication with all the works free or in offer currently.

PS Plus in June: the war … of the galaxies

The thing is about shooting and warfare on PS Plus. Sony has bet heavily on its offer of free games in June with two titles that surely people did not expect, but that is great news for members of the PlayStation 4 service after some months with ups and downs. Call of Duty: WWII and Star Wars Battlefront 2. Also – and exclusively for Spanish players – Treasure Rangers, framed chosen within the initiative to support the local video game, the PlayStation Talents label.

In addition, the first one could be downloaded in advance. As of May 26, it is available to download at no additional cost to players who have an active subscription on any model of PlayStation 4, the delivery that was intended to redefine the experience of World War II through the video game. Apart from its campaign mode, it is equipped with online multiplayer and zombie mode. PS Plus is required to play online.

On the other hand, Star Wars Battlefront 2 is one of the EA games that has been most revitalized during this generation. The campaign mode, which we talked about in depth in this article because we recognize we liked it a lot, is considered canon. It falls between Episode VI and Episode VII; also multiplayer modes full of content and an improved progression system. And yes, it is still being updated today.

Xbox Live GOLD bets on coffee with pirates

Microsoft is not far behind this June and offers members of Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which includes Games with Gold) the following four titles for free: Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, Coffee Talk, Destroy All Humans and Sine Mora.

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse (Xbox One, June 1–30) – A platform adventure with a metroidvania twist where Shantae has lost her magical powers. Therefore, we must ally ourselves with his nemesis, Risky Boots, to save the lands of Sequin.

Coffee Talk (Xbox One, June 16-July 15): We put ourselves in the shoes of a waiter behind the bar. We own the establishment and, as usual, serve drinks or whatever customers request. A narrative game, where we will read a lot, but which is interesting for lovers of these proposals.

Destroy All Humans! (Xbox, June 1-15): The perfect snack for the announced remake. This time we have access to the classic, where an alien and crazy invasion awaits us with some protagonists who must end the human race. As it is.

Sine Mora (Xbox 360, from June 16 to 30): shoot up em up lovers cannot miss the opportunity to get closer to this great title where destruction and time manipulation are protagonists. Story, arcade and lots of skill modes in a highly challenging game.

We end by remembering that if we are Xbox Game Pass, a great title is about to arrive this June: No Man’s Sky. The work of Hello Games finds its place in Microsoft's à la carte service.

Twitch Prime, Amazon's PC gaming service

As usual, the Amazon-linked computer gaming service, Twitch Prime, not only offers benefits to users of the streaming platform focused primarily on video games, but also entertainment at no additional cost. This month, six games we can claim throughout the month of June: Observer, Project Warlock, Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator, Forsaken Remastered, The Flame in the Flood, and Steel Rats.

Observer

From June 1 to 30 (except Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator, from June 5), all of them will be available. But to this we must add the SNK titles that the Japanese company gives to subscribers of Amazon's premium service to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

From this month's selection, Observer is the well-known cyberpunk horror title from Bloober Team, authors of Layers of Fear. Project Warlock, on the other hand, is a first-person shooter adventure; similar to id Software games from decades ago. Forsaken Remastered, is a remastering of the 1998 classic for PC, PlayStation and Nintendo 64. Again, an FPS, although now futuristic. We continue with Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator, dating simulator with parents as protagonists, very casual and fun. The Flame in the Flood is a well-known roguelike within the independent scene. During the adventure, we travel through post-apocalyptic North America, gathering resources and constantly looking for a way to survive. We finish with Steel Rats, a kind of platforms in 2.5D where we have to end everything that appears in our path uploaded in a vehicle.

Google Stadia pro continues to grow: already 17 games are included

Google Stadia is putting the batteries little by little. If Stadia Pro barely gave us access to a couple of games at first (the rest must be bought individually), the video game streaming service on many Google devices has opted for quantity and quality in June with the following titles: Panzer Dragoon Remake, Little Nightmares, Get Packed, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, and Superhot.

The truth is that the selection is very complete. Panzer Dragoon Remake, with the latest update, is closer to what is desired by players of the original SEGA Saturn, a very special rail shooter title that we can enjoy since June in Stadia. Likewise, Little Nightmares is a must in its genre. An adventure of puzzle, mystery, platforms and stealth that does not disappoint.

Neither is Superhot, another gem of the independent scene with the particularity that time stops if we stop. Another way of saying that time advances only if we move. For the rest, Get Packed is a casual and fun game exclusively temporary, while Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is presented as the alternative for followers of the fighting genre.
