MY.GAMES Store offers 90% of revenue to developers

The Warface publisher faces Steam and the Epic Games Store with an unprecedented new revenue-sharing policy, albeit in fine print.

MY.GAMES Store, the digital platform of the video game publisher like Warface, has announced new revenue-sharing policies, with very favorable percentages for developer companies. So much so that the developer that publishes its video games in said store will be able to keep up to 90% of the income of each transaction, an amount that is even more favorable than in the case of the Epic Games Store and Steam, with percentages of distribution of income of 88% and 70%, respectively. Of course, there are certain conditions to reach that figure.

Sales through promotions of its creators

And is that in order for MY.GAMES Store to offer 90% of the benefits of each purchase to the developer, the developer must have obtained the sale through a link referred to by himself through his own promotional campaigns. Thus, if a user purchases the game directly through the MY.GAMES store, the 90% policy does not apply; For this, the buyer will have to acquire the video game through a link provided by the developer, thus forcing them to invest in advertising to guarantee said distribution.

In the event that the sale occurs directly through the MY.GAMES Store with no referrals involved, the distribution is set at 70% of the income for the creator and 30% for the platform, that is, the same amounts that Steam manages at the moment.

It is a movement that aims to celebrate the first anniversary of the platform and thus benefit developers who bet on the MY.GAMES store, even far from the popularity levels of other platforms such as the Steam or Epic Games Store, among others. “This month marks the anniversary of MY.GAMES. We want to celebrate and share our success with our developers. We will increase the distribution of income with all the teams that decide to promote their titles on our platform, ”says Rodion Kotelnikov, head of MY.GAMES Store.
