The Last of Us Part 2 will have customizable difficulty

The Last of Us Part 2 will have customizable difficulty

In addition to different difficulty modes, you can configure different aspects, such as the damage Ellie takes when attacked by an enemy.

Naughty Dog has worked hard to create a gaming experience that suits all types of players. Not only have they introduced over 60 accessibility options, but they've also built a customizable difficulty system for The Last of Us Part 2, as published by GameSpot. This means that regardless of the level chosen, there will be different sections that can be modified.

The first change from the original game is that the "Survivor" difficulty will be unlocked from the beginning. In addition, we can choose between very easy, easy, normal and difficult modes. From there, a new range of options will open, since we will have the opportunity to choose the damage that Ellie takes, the level of perception of the enemies or the amount of resources that we can find in the world, among many other elements.

Stealth and artificial intelligence

Anthony Newman is the co-director of the new Naughty Dog. In a recent interview with Ungeek, he has revealed a major change regarding the behavior of enemies during stealth moments. He has compared it to the first part and has said that in this sequel the enemies have improved their AI, since in the original there were only two possible states: that they detected you or that they did not know where you were. Instead, in The Last of Us Part 2 there will be a middle ground where the bad guys will suspect Ellie's location.

The Last of Us Part 2 will hit stores on June 19. The wait has been longer than expected, since the title was originally scheduled for February. However, it took Naughty Dog a little more time to reach the quality levels that had been set. Meanwhile, they encountered the coronavirus crisis and Sony preferred to opt for a new (albeit small) delay. Now yes, the video game is ready. At FreeGameTips, we will have the review on June 12.
