The Last of Us Part 2 explores their world in the latest episode of their documentary

After reflecting on narrative, characters, gameplay, and details, Naughty Dog focuses his attention on the world.

There was a time when the society in The Last of Us Part 2 was exactly the same as in the real world. However, all that changed when the first cases of infected began to appear. A strange fungus enters the human body and grows in the subject’s brain. Soon after, he loses his mind and becomes a monster. Thus, vegetation conquers cities. In this latest episode of Inside The Last of Us Part 2, ‘Inside the World’, various members of the studio chat about the construction of that universe.

Unlike the first installment, this sequel opts for a wider world. Neil Druckmann, co-director of the video game, talks about all this, pointing out the danger that all survivors face. Unless they live in a protected area, the chances of falling to a snapper or other type of infected are more than high. Even in the case of being in a place of refuge, no one is entirely sure. “I would say that the world is greater than that of The Last of Us, in every sense of the word,” says Kurt Margenau, another of the directors of the title. With a duration of almost 8 minutes, the video explores the different facets of the world (at the moment, in English, below these lines).
