EA Access is coming "soon" to Steam

Electronic Arts’ subscription service was planned for spring, but no specific date has yet been announced.

Electronic Arts was absent from Steam for a long period of time. The North American company opted for its own platform, Origin, but in late 2019 it decided to re-launch its products on the Valve platform and in the Epic Games Store. In that same statement, he revealed his intention to brand EA Access on Steam, something that will happen soon, as pointed out in an image from the store’s Unravel Two page.

EA Access is coming to Steam soon. Members will receive exclusive tests, great games and much more ”, they comment. In October 2019, they stated that the service would start operating in the spring: “Electronic Arts and Valve have partnered to offer EA titles to Steam players. Starting next spring, EA Access” will be released on that platform. It will be the “only subscription service available on Steam”, an expansion that has already started on PS4, Xbox and Origin.

What is EA Access?

Subscribers to EA Access have access, whatever the redundancy, to a catalog of video games in true Xbox Game Pass style. As if that were not enough, they also have the opportunity to try out some of the company’s news for a certain period of time. At the moment, no further details have been released.

When EA released the official statement, it made clear that game releases would be staggered. That being the case, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was the first product to debut on Steam. Multiplayer games like Apex Legends or Battlefield V will do the same sometime this year. Unravel Two, however, is now available. Those who have not tried this platforms and are interested, on Steam you can find a 50% discount (9.99 euros until June 9)
