The free-to-play shooter from the creators of LoL could hit PS4 and Xbox One if the gaming experience lives up to what its creators want.
Anna Donlon, one of the executive producers of Riot Games, has spoken these days for GameSpot on the occasion of the launch of Valorant and has confirmed that the game is already being tested on consoles, where it has a first prototype. Still, the developer doesn’t have them all on it and it’s still unclear if that version will go forward. “There is a way to play and experience Valorant and we are not entirely sure that it will fully translate when playing on consoles. But if we feel that we can bring the experience to those platforms, surely we will. “
This is not the first time we have heard of the Valorant version for consoles. In late April, its director, Joe Ziegler, assured that they were “exploring other platforms such as consoles and mobiles.” On the subject, Anna Donlon has also acknowledged that some members of the study are “very excited” about the idea and want to test the potential of Valorant on machines from Sony and Microsoft, but acknowledges that it was definitely not their focus. “If it had been, the game would definitely have been delayed.” Riot Games has focused its attention and efforts on maximizing the PC experience during these, the first days of the game’s life.

Valorant is the free to play shooter from the creators of League of Legends. It was officially released on June 2 and, in recent days, at FreeGameTips we have been unraveling some of its secrets, such as its battle pass (from which we collect price, rewards and duration), or as the maps, weapons and agents that it includes launch (from which we have compiled your best tips and strategies). Hopefully very soon we can also enjoy the title on PS4 and Xbox One (or perhaps even on PS5, Xbox Series X and / or Nintendo Switch).
