Bungie after Destiny: clues about her new IP in various job offers

The also creators of Halo have started work on a new video game, although it has not yet been officially announced.

They won’t be left alone in Destiny. Bungie already works on a new intellectual property, but everything surrounding the project remains confidential. Still, thanks to various job offers, the company draws the contours of what its new title will be if it comes to fruition. Of course, this is a description of thick strokes, which means that only superficial and very generic details are given.

The company is looking for an art director who knows how to create video games that “unite the players” in communities. In addition, they point out that the candidate will work on “something comical with happy and enigmatic characters.” Bungie assures that the chosen one will define the aspect of the “new intellectual property” of the company and will work on all artistic aspects, from the prototype phase until production begins. “You will work with a fun, dedicated and passionate team,” they announce.

Other offers, more clues

The studio has opened another vacancy and is looking for a designer for a video game with loot elements. They ask a candidate who is not strange to “live within a gigantic database with hundreds of ornaments, weapons and armor.” Another of the characteristics they are looking for is that the candidate be able to build a system to distribute all those objects in a dungeon. Lastly, in the third offering they want a combat designer familiar with weapon and armor systems. All of them point out that the positions are destined for new intellectual properties.

Pete Parsons, CEO Bungie, stated that the company’s intention was to become a multi-franchise company by 2025. That doesn’t mean Destiny is going to be abandoned. In fact, the studio is preparing to shape the new content, which will be unveiled this June 9.
