The Pokémon Company and Niantic have confirmed the date and details of the next Pokémon GO Community Day, which will feature Weedle as the protagonist. Next Saturday, June 20, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can participate in the Community Day that will mark the equator of the current calendar; and will allow access to a Beedrill with exclusive movement.
Weedle, Kakuna and Beedrill: shiny possibility and Drill movement
The first-generation Caterpillar Pokemon (Kanto) was chosen as the winner after the popular poll that was conducted weeks ago on Pokemon GO social media. While Weedle was in first place, Gaslty was in second place, so he will be the protagonist of the July Community Day. Until then, on June 20, we will have the opportunity to access a Beedrill with Drill, an exclusive movement that cannot learn under normal conditions.
June Community Day Features
The first thing that strikes you is the duration: again, six hours. The measure, initially enacted to compensate for movement restrictions during the toughest stages of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), will continue for at least another month. In this way, from 11:00 to 19:00 wild Weedle will appear more frequently than usual.
If we evolve to Kakuna (second stage in this evolutionary line) during the event or up to two hours after it ends – until 21:00 local time – the Pokémon will learn the Drill movement; An interesting attack that has 80 base damage and 28.6 DPS. It is Earth type, so it will be perfect against Poison, Rock, Steel, Fire and Electric type.
Bonus during Weedle Community Day
The bonuses are already confirmed. For starters, we’ll have x3 in Stardust per capture. Also, the Incenses will have a duration of 3 hours (180 minutes) and, finally, the high level companion Pokémon (great companion or higher) will find objects such as Poké Ball. On the other hand, if we take a snapshot during Community Day they promise us a surprise yet to be confirmed. Also available from the Shop is a lore that will include an elite Charged Attack MT, 30 Ultra Balls, 3 Star Pieces, and 3 Incenses.
