Metal Hellsinger: New Rhythmic FPS for PS5, Xbox Series X, and More; arrives in 2021

Funcom has unveiled this rhythm-based shooter coming next year. The team in charge is The Outsiders. First trailer.

Funcom has presented within the framework of IGN Summer of Gaming Metal: Hellsinger, a first-person shooter whose gameplay will be accompanied by the rhythm of its sound. Developed by Swedish studio The Outsiders, the play is planned for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam sometime in 2021.

The title will make us put ourselves in the shoes of The Unknown, a character half demon, half human. From there, pure action where we must remove all impediments in our path with the aim of ending the so-called Red Judge. Aside from its confirmed single player story mode, Metal: Hellsinger will also feature a challenge mode with different challenges and markers with individual songs; Scores can be shared with other players.

Another game more confirmed for 2021; the next gene gains strength

Music is the main protagonist of the title. Throughout the eight hells included in the adventure, the most metal music possible will spice up a gameplay in which we will listen to vocalists such as Matt Heafy (Trivium) or Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), among others. The more accurate the shots, the more intensity in the music.

The game is being developed by industry veterans. The Outsiders has personalities such as David Goldfarb (Payday 2 or Battlefield: Bad Company 2), who is in charge of leading this project. Also, it should be noted that Troy Baker, known for lending his voice to characters such as Joel, from The Last of Us, or Sam Drake in Uncharted, will be the one who takes the lead role in The Unknown.

Metal: Hellsinger will launch sometime in 2021 on next-gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X) as well as current Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and compatible computers.
