The Last of Us Part 2: release date, price, and trailers

Naughty Dog is about to launch its most ambitious video game, which will go on sale exclusively for PlayStation 4.

The story of Ellie and Joel did not close in the final chapter of The Last of Us, the last major PlayStation 3 exclusive. After his remastering on the current generation Sony console, Naughty Dog has worked hard on designing The Last of Us Part 2, one of the most anticipated titles on the platform. Coincidentally, it will also be marketed in the twilight of the generation, with PlayStation 5 about to be marketed. In this new installment, which may not be the last, Ellie will have to face the terrible reality of her world again.

June 19 on PlayStation 4; editions in digital and physical format

It has been a very long road, but Naughty Dog is about to reach his destination. Initially planned for February, the studio decided to delay it just a couple of weeks after announcing the release date. The reason? They needed more time to polish the gaming experience. The new launch window was established for May 29, but circumstances prevented its fulfillment. The coronavirus caused Sony to delay it indefinitely, but there will be no more delays. It will be next June 19 when The Last of Us Part 2 hits the market on PlayStation 4.

Like so many other titles, the new work of Naughty Dog will hit stores in different editions. Those who opt for digital will be able to get a Standard Edition, which costs 69.99 euros. As a download incentive includes a PSN avatar of Ellie’s tattoo, improved pistol ammo capacity, and a crafting manual for recipes and upgrades. On the other hand, the Digital Deluxe Edition costs 79.99 euros and introduces the same booking incentives and the following extras:

  • Digital soundtrack.
  • Dark Horse digital artwork mini-book.
  • Six PSN avatars for PS4.
  • PS4 dynamic theme.

As for the physical editions, the Standard Edition has a RRP of 69.99 (with exclusive editions on GAME and Amazon). The Special Edition comes out at a price of 89.99 euros, but includes several extras in physical and digital format:

  • Complete set and steelbook
  • Dynamic theme for PS4
  • Set of 6 avatars for PSN
  • Dark Horse’s 48-page art book (digital version also included)
