It is a set of classics that will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch on PC and will be released in two volumes.

Bandai Namco has announced the release date of Namco Museum Archives Volume 1 and 2, a compilation of classic titles to be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The company has confirmed that players will be able to play them starting June 18. 10 hits from the arcades (Pac-Man, Galaga, etc.) are included, as well as some unpublished productions that never came to light in the West. We are talking about games like Dragon Spirit: The New Legend or Mappy-Land.

The games are adapted in collaboration with B.B. Studios, and as usual in this type of project, games incorporate new features such as the rewind function, save points or compatibility with new wider screens. These are the games that come in both compilations:

NAMCO MUSEUM ARCHIVES Volume 1:

  • Galaxian
  • Xevious
  • Mappy
  • Dragon buster
  • Pac-man
  • Dig-Dug
  • The Tower of Druaga
  • Sky kid

  • Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti
  • Pac-Man Championship Edition

NAMCO MUSEUM ARCHIVES Volume 2:

  • Mappy-Land
  • Legacy of the Wizard
  • Dragon Buster II

Bandai Namco celebrates this year the 40th anniversary of one of the most iconic characters in video game history. Pac-Man blew out the candles last May, so new video games, collaborations and special events have been planned. One of those new titles will be developed in collaboration with Amazon Studios. This is Pac-Man Live Studio for Twitch, a title for up to four players in which we must survive the labyrinth while we eat as many ghosts as possible. Another project will be a special machine, Tastemakers 40th Anniversary Arcade 1UP, in which of course Pac-Man will have a lot to say (along with other games).
