Destruction AllStars, crazy action exclusively for PS5

This game developed by the independent study Lucid will be published by SIE, thus it bears the stamp of PlayStation Studios.

Fast cars, outlandish characters, and hectic battles. That is what the new exclusive title for PlayStation 5 proposes under the seal of PlayStation Studios. This is Destruction AllStars, a fast-paced action game in which we will drive through arenas and get out of vehicles to crush our opponents. The video game has been announced in the framework of the streaming event organized by Sony to show the first projects for its new generation console.

The game is developed by Lucid, as indicated in the official trailer on these lines. Sony has already announced that PlayStation Studios would encompass not only the company’s internal teams (i.e.Naugthy Dog, SIE Japan Studio, Sony Santa Monica, Guerrilla, etc.), but also projects funded by PlayStation. So despite Lucid being an independent studio, the PlayStation Studios brand appears at the beginning of the video.

Projects of all kinds

The PlayStation 5 event has unleashed the presentation of video games of all genres and budgets. Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital, has been on hand to announce Gran Turismo 7, the brand new installment in the company’s flagship driving saga. Soon after, Guerrilla has released Horizon: Forbidden West, the sequel to the award-winning video game starring Aloy. There has been no lack of Resident Evil Village (RE 8, ultimately) or Agent 47’s return in Hitman 3. Arkane, who turned twenty recently, has shown Deathloop, a temporary exclusive on PS5.

PlayStation 5 will go on sale in late 2020, as originally planned. There will not be a single model, because as confirmed during the event, Sony has chosen to market a version with a disc reader and another entirely digital version. The decision will depend on the client, although it has not yet been explained whether there will be digital backwards compatibility of the PS4 titles.
