Sony has confirmed that there will be only one edition of PS5 but two. The standard model will have a disc reader; the other will be digital only.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced during the presentation event of the first PS5 games the same console, PlayStation 5, which will arrive this Christmas of 2020 to stores around the world with two models. The console, which confirms that it will be mainly white with black parts, will have a futuristic design and rounded corners.

On the one hand, PS5 will have the Standard model, which will have a disk reader and traditional physical format; on the other, the Playstation 5 Digital Edition model will not have a disc reader and will be completely digital; something Microsoft has already done with Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. In addition, regardless of the model, we will receive a DualSense controller in the pack, the novelties of which we break down here; an HD camera; Headband headphones with Pulse 3D to enjoy immersive 3D audio from home that Sony already anticipated at the time; and a remote control to use the console as a media center.
PS5 pricing remains unknown at this time.

PS5 will be released around Christmas 2020 worldwide
One of the pillars of PS5 is going to be its SSD storage memory, which although it will have 825 GB and not 1 TB full, its speed will be surprisingly fast, at 5.5 GB per second. That is, up to 100 times faster than that of PS4. This will allow the loading times to be negligible in many cases. When it comes to RAM, PlayStation 5 will feature 16GB. Otherwise, a 3.5 GHz Zen 2 8-core CPU and a 10.28 TFLOPS GPU.
