Niantic recently shared the dates and first details of the Pokémon GO Fest 2020, an event that will be held at the end of July exclusively online due to the current crisis with the coronavirus. On this occasion they have provided much more detailed information, which we leave below as well as remembering that currently in the mobile title iOS and Android of Pokémon we can enjoy the events of the summer solstice and, with the start of July, also the event Bug-type Pokémon.

The Pokémon GO Fest 2020 will take place over two days. Each one will offer a unique experience and a different special research history so that the coaches can participate in the event with the same ticket for both days:

  • Day 1 of Pokémon GO Fest 2020: Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (CEST, local time in Spain).
  • Day 2 of Pokémon GO Fest 2020: Sunday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (CEST, local time in Spain).

The keys to Pokémon GO Fest 2020, what content will there be every day?

To begin with, on the first day of the event, the coaches will be able to enjoy a special research story that they will only get this July 25. As detailed on the official website, “five habitats that will change (with the theme of fire, water, plants, combat and friendship) and a special featured Pokémon that will correspond to the theme of each habitat in question.” It is noted that these habitats will change every hour, so each one will be available twice during Day 1.

In total, trainers will be able to find up to 75 species of Pokémon in the wild, both in these special investigations and in raids. They will be able to collaborate with other players to complete the Global Challenges in the Stadium that will take place every hour. This feature will only be available to those with a ticket and will allow them to win a bonus that will last the rest of the hour.

In the case of Day 2 of the event, for now they have not wanted to share too much information about it, since they want to keep it as a surprise until the date approaches. Of course, the company assures that there will be another special investigation, so we will explain more about it as soon as it is released.

How to get a ticket to enjoy the Pokémon GO Fest 2020

Tickets for the Pokémon GO Fest 2020 are now on sale in the in-game store for $ 14.99 plus VAT. These tickets can not be purchased with Pokécoins, so we will have to go through the box if we want to enjoy 100% of the event. To buy them, we simply have to follow the following steps:

  • In the store that we find inside the Pokémon GO app, we touch the icon of the Pokémon GO Fest 2020 and then the “Buy” button.
  • A pop-up message will appear to indicate that we have received an entry for the Pokémon GO Fest 2020, so we click “Accept” to find it in our Bag.
  • A few days before the event, we will receive a badge. By opening the app on Day 1 (July 26), we will gain access to the Pokémon GO Fest 2020 experience, including the first special research story. To get access to Day 2, we must also open the game on July 27. After receiving the lines of special research, we can complete them at any time.
  • From Niantic also remember that the tickets for this event are not refundable.
