Demon’s Souls Remake was undoubtedly one of the biggest PS5 exclusive announcements featured during last week’s digital event and one of the most viewed trailers of the night. The 2009 FromSoftware play with which Hidetaka Miyazaki began what we now call the “Souls formula” is coming soon to PlayStation 5 and, as comparisons are inevitable, several videos have brought the original version face-to-face with the remake.
Channels like GameXplain or ElAnalistadeBits have done the same by facing identical sequences of the trailer shown at the event and its original equivalent. If there is something that stands out, apart from the graphics or the imposing lighting, it is the color palette. Now, in some sections it is not so dull and dependent on grays and browns; This time the blue colors will give a more similar feeling to that seen in Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne, the two most contemporary releases of the Japanese company. The gloomy essence, however, does not seem to go away. The amount of on-screen detail is vastly superior in the remake.
No date confirmed: Demon’s Souls Remake will use ray tracing
One of the aspects that have already been confirmed about this remake is that it will use ray tracing accelerated by the PlayStation 5’s own hardware to improve the lighting of the game and favor a much more immersive audio .
