Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – More story details, PS5 features, ray tracing & more

Playfront

One of the highlights of last week’s PS5 reveal was Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is now the biggest PS5 launch title. Sony and Insomniac Games have new information on this today.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a stand-alone extension that is a remaster and add-on in one. Experience the rise of Miles Morales while discovering new powers that differentiate him from his mentor Peter Parker.

“As we proceeded to the Marvel Spider-Man universe, we knew that Miles’s story as a Spider-Man was something that needed a game of its own. Miles’ multicultural background reflects a more modern, diverse world. We wanted to offer players a new story with new standards, fresh villains and unique tasks in Marvel’s New York City. This had to be an inevitable next adventure in the Marvel Spider-Man universe. ”

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales plays about a year after the original, it’s winter and New York completely wrapped in snow at Christmas time. Meanwhile, a war is raging between an energy company and a high-tech army, while Miles’s new home in Harlem is at the heart of this battle.

With Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Insomniac Games promises a complete story experience that will be about the size of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, i.e. around 10 to 15 hours, depending on your personal playing style.

PS5 features are used

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will also take advantage of the PS5, including 3D audio, ray tracing effects and the DualSense controller. With regard to ray tracing, you should pay particular attention to the puddles in the game.

“We improved our characters with 4D scans and improved skin shading for more realistic characters and spline-based hair that moves much more naturally. Many of the city’s assets have also been updated to take advantage of the new console. When you experience Miles ’history, the PS5 will see, hear and feel things in a whole new way.”

Finally, one assures that one has not forgotten Peter’s story, about which there is still a lot to tell, but this is the story of Miles. You can imagine the rest now.
