The father of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and A Way Out, director of Hazelight Studios, is back with a new proposal within EA Originals.

Electronic Arts and Hazelight Studios have presented It Takes Two during EA Play Live 2020. The developer and film director, after Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and A Way Out, now shows his third work, which will be released soon on platforms still to be determined next year 2021.

“It is a cooperative action game with platforms that will blow your mind,” Fares said during the presentation. “There are even levels where we are going to take the mechanics beyond the emotions,” he adds. “It’s literally like riding a roller coaster,” explains the creative. The focus on cooperative gameplay will be clear, mixing the action and phases in first person to interact with the environment in ways that we had not seen in his previous works.

It Takes Two, his next project after the successful A Way Out

The Swedish studio, founded in 2014, has grown progressively over the years thanks to the success of its work. The team was formed with part of the members of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, by Starbreeze. His first title, A Way Out, we loved at FreeGameTips for his commitment clearly focused on cooperative play: “The tie that surrounds the gift is a lighting system and photorealistic models at another level for an independent studio that has managed to provide a unbelievable forcefulness to a production that, even with defects, has surprised, captivated and excited us ”, we said.

Given the good reception of this second project by Josef Fares, that time under the EA Originals label with the Unreal Engine 4, now it returns to the fray with a title where it will seek again to surprise based on narrative and gameplay.
