Baldur's Gate 3 shines in over an hour of gameplay

Larian Studios has shown 1 hour of new Baldur’s Gate 3 gameplay at D&D Live 2020, the event for Dungeons and Dragons lovers.

During D&D Live 2020, the event (this year online) that brings together all the lovers of Dragons and Dungeons, Larian Studios has presented more than an hour of Baldur’s Gate 3 gameplay. A video full of content and news, the first to We have the game from the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) in Boston, back in March. In addition to the video (which you can see under these lines), the developer has taken the opportunity to repeat and insist that, despite the coronavirus, the early acess version of the game will arrive on Steam in August. A version of which we already know all its details: characters, classes, races, etc.

The video, commented by Swen Vincke, game director, shows the possibilities of exploration, combat system and RPG mechanics of this Baldur’s Gate 3, which is set once again in the world of Forgotten Realms, from Dungeons & Dragons (hence his presence at the event). If you get very long teeth, we remind you that there are 6 dragon and dungeon games on sale on Steam, among which is the Enhanced Edition of the first two installments of Baldur’s Gate, which come out at 7.99 euros each.

Will there be Baldur’s Gate 3 for PS5 and Xbox Series X?

At the moment the return of the saga is only confirmed for PC and Google Stadia and seems totally ruled out in the current consoles. “I don’t think the current generation is capable of making it work,” acknowledged Larian Studios a few weeks ago. The team has serious doubts that the power of PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will serve to move the “lot of technical improvements and updates” they have made on the graphics engine of Baldur’s Gate 3, which shares a 20 – 30% of its tools with that of Divinity Original Sin, but that is still practically new. The company does not close the door to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, both just around the corner, and seeing the positive feedback that both machines are collecting and remembering the two previous installments were also published on consoles, there are still reasons for the hope.
