Kena: Bridge of Spirits is being performed by just 14 people

Ember Lab was founded in 2009, it only consists of 14 people and its only video game experience is a short film about The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

It was one of the big surprises of the PlayStation 5 presentation event. The world and the graphics of Kena: Bridge of Spirits caught everyone’s attention during the Sony event, where the game was presented in society for the first time. But Kena has not stopped surprising us since then. First was the news that, even with such a visual, it was also going to be released on PS4. Later it was the confirmation that it uses Unreal Engine 4 and soon after, the minimum and recommended requirements on PC, which were not too demanding. And now the title once again grabs our attention by confirming that its developer, Ember Lab, is made up of just 14 people.

This very young North American studio was founded in 2009 and although it has worked with brands such as Coca-Cola, Hisense and MLB (Major League Baseball), its experience with video games is reduced to a short film about The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. Called Majora’s Mask – Terrible Fate, the video explores the dark story behind Skull Kid, one of the characters in the Nintendo classic. Mix real-world locations with computer-made characters and already accumulate more than 9 million views on YouTube. From a fan film of Majora’s Mask to being protagonists in the presentation of PS5.
