More than 3,500 users sabotage The Last of Us: Part 2 on Metacritic, where it has a 3.3 average mark due to a new campaign of protests.

We are talking about The Last of Us: Part 2, the peak work of Naughty Dog, one of those names called to grab all kinds of awards and mentions at the end of the year. However, it does not appear that its launch will be without controversy. Ellie has dawned as a new victim of review bombing, the technique that has spread throughout the sector to sabotage a game and that consists of scoring the work poorly even without having tried it. The objective is to lower its average rating on pages like Metacritic, where, for example, The Last of Us: Part 2 already has more than 3,500 user ratings and a 3.3 average mark, very far from the 9.5 given by professional critics.
Most of the negative comments seek to punish the crunch of the Naughty Dog to bring the game forward, the violence it boasts and of course, its history, whose protagonist and role they claim not to marry. Most of them do it, remember, without having finished the title on their own and sometimes even without having tried it, relying solely on leaks and prejudices. A hate campaign that few seem to escape today, since it has recently affected releases like Valorant, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Death Stranding. Faced with the rise of this type of movement, companies like Valve have begun to develop methods to combat it. Platforms like Steam already have their own system to detect these types of protests and incorporate solutions to them, such as ignoring the notes given during a certain period of time.
