The Messenger and Observation coming to Xbox One in late June

Devolver Digital confirms the arrival of two of its major productions on Xbox One. The Messenger and Observation will debut on Xbox on June 25.

The Microsoft Store reveals the tickets for Observation and The Messenger for Xbox One. Two productions of Devolver Digital are dated for June 25. Originally released on PS4 and PC (Nintendo Switch also in the second), they will debut on Xbox One in a matter of days.

If we take a look at the description of Observation, the version for the Microsoft console will weigh 7.17 GB. It will have functions of Xbox Play Anywhere, which allows us to have its version for Windows 10 with a single purchase. Save data is moved between platforms thanks to the cloud. It will put us in the lens of S.A.M., a computer on board a space station in which we will investigate what happened with Dr. Emma Fisher and her crew.

The Messenger, the culminating work of Sabotage Studios will not even reach two thousand megabytes: 1.73 GB. Unlike his colleague in space, the PC and Xbox One versions are separate, although it is part of the Xbox Game Pass catalog for the compatible platform. We will embody a young ninja who enters a cursed world to carry a scroll crucial for the survival of his clan. Surprises, excitement and lots of humor await us during the adventure.

In FreeGameTips they obtained a rating of 8 out of 10 and 9 out of 10, respectively. In the case of The Messenger, our colleague Miguel Solo highlighted its playability, “precise, agile and dynamic”. “It is a very complete tribute to the evolution of the genre, an exciting and satisfying journey from 8 to 16 bits, which takes the best of the classic titles of the era and revisits them updating their gameplay,” he commented.

Borja Ruete spoke of “a very interesting proposal” to what was stated in Observation. Managing an artificial intelligence gave “another perspective” to the usual in the video game. The “good use” of tension in the narrative plane stood out.
