Rainbow Six: Siege receives Operation Steel Wave; changes already available

All the changes and the two new operators of the Steel Wave operation in Rainbow Six: Siege are now available. Agents Ace and Melusi arrive.

Land in Rainbow Six: Siege a new content capsule as part of its roadmap in 2020. The Steel Wave operation incorporates two new agents, a classic map redesign and different changes designed to balance the balance.

On the one hand we find Ace, the attacker of speed and medium armor. His special ability is to have a SELMA explosive water demolition device. When launched on vertical destructible surfaces, the device opens gaps in three phases, as if it were a kind of vacuum cleaner. This allows not only to open a new pass line, but to create defense opportunities when the team has located the target location.

Melusi, on the other hand, offers a skill that fits really well with any squad of defensive operators. Banshee Sonic Defense slows enemies’ movement the closer they are to the gadget. It can be deployed on any surface and does not require manual control. Its cover is built bulletproof, so to break it you will need to do it with an appropriate explosive or with a melee hit. As a character you will have three speed points, for one armor.

Defenders will receive a new equippable secondary device: proximity alarm. When he throws himself onto the stage, he emits a high-pitched sound that warns of the passage of an adversary around him. Its small size makes it difficult for attackers to notice.

The Casa map has undergone a redesign as part of the remastering work announced a few seasons ago. Existing areas have been expanded and a section has been added in the south wing, which translates into two rooms for each floor and a staircase that connects them. A new detonation nest will be placed in it for bomb mode. The garage has also undergone changes, now only destructible by a single door.

You can know all the changes through this link. Remember that Rainbow Six: Siege will also reach the next generation.
