Rumor has it that Resident Evil 4 remake will be released in 2022

The remake of ‘Resident Evil 3’ has just been released, and a new edition of ‘Resident Evil 4’ is already in the works at Capcom. The year 2022 is said to be the release.

This time, the developer behind the Resident Evil 4 remake is said to be M-Two, some of whom have already taken care of the RE3 remake. The original creator Shinji Mikami was also offered to be involved in the project, but he refused. As a consultant for the remake, however, he should stand by the side.

The plans for the Resident Evil 4 remake therefore go back to 2018, while the game is currently in full production. The fact that it will only be released in 2022 could have something to do with the fact that Resident Evil 8 is due for release next year.

It is currently not possible to confirm whether this is actually the case. Neither Capcom nor M-Two have commented on the latest reports on the new Resident Evil editions. However, it is known that the publisher is exploring further resident evil remakes based on surveys.
