PS5 vs XSX: Microsoft continues to be convinced to have the better console

Playfront

Microsoft is now responding to the recent report from a Crytek developer, who are still convinced that they will have the better console in the next generation. Especially from the point of view of power you don’t worry at all.

According to Crytek Rendering Engineer, Ali Salehi, who is believed to work with both consoles, Sony has designed the better hardware design, which makes the PS5 easier for developers to use. Microsoft repeatedly emphasizes that you simply have more power.

So currently also to be heard from Microsoft’s Bill Stillwell from the Microsoft Cognition Team, who once again refers to the GDC Reveal and the information afterwards. Stillwell said in a podcast:

“I think what you do [mit der PS5-Enthüllung] saw was the unfortunate by-product of a GDC conversation that was turned into a marketing event, ”said Stillwell. “I liked the talk from Sony and I think they have a cool technique. Personally, I think we have a better console, we don’t worry about performance. “

Developers see PS5 and Xbox Series X at eye level

While Microsoft, of course, praises their own console, external developers see little difference in them, with each console being stronger in specific areas, which it completely compensates for.

In the end, it won’t make much difference, even if you can currently only speak for your own games. Both consoles are extremely powerful and, in the foreseeable future, will even exceed the skills that will be required of them.

In terms of features, however, you are more drawn to the PS5 and plan to experiment with things like 3D audio, haptic feedback & Co. These are things that keep Sony surprising and innovative. At Microsoft it is often like: “More of the same”.

Whether the PS5 or Xbox Series X is better will be shown at the earliest in the multiplatform games, because only here you can make realistic comparisons. It will take a few months until then.
