Playfront

Despite the holiday, Square Enix today officially releases Final Fantasy VII Remake on PS4, which has been in development for several years.

On the occasion of this milestone, producer Yoshinori Kitase addresses the fans with a video message, which explains a little bit about the changes in the remake and thanks for the patience of the players.

“Hi everyone, I’m Yoshinori Kitase from Square Enix.

We just released Final Fantasy VII Remake that many of you have been waiting for. The original of Final Fantasy VII was released in 1997, which means that we are bringing this remake to you after 23 years since its original release.

The fans may think, “I wonder what happened to this scene” or “I wonder what happened to Cloud’s cross-dressing scene” – we revived the original game with the latest technology and the best graphics and out of it made a game that meets or exceeds your expectations and is exciting to play.

We have also introduced state-of-the-art game systems that create a fast and active combat system that meets the expectations of the younger generation of players.

I hope you enjoy Final Fantasy VIII Remake ”

While the digital version is now available, some pre-orders of the disc were happy to receive a copy a few days ago. Others may have to wait a bit longer because the shipping process is delayed in many places due to the corona pandemic.

To compensate, there are two free PS4 themes that you can find in the PlayStation Store from now on.
