Developers nDreams, who have recently focused on VR technology, are pushing Sony to update their PlayStation VR headset. The technology of PSVR is now out of date and the competition passes despite the great success.

That’s what nDreams CEO Patrick O’Luanaigh said in a recent interview that Sony expects to continue investing in the VR market. There will be no new headset for the launch of the PS5 yet, but for the foreseeable future.

“I think Sony knows that VR needs to update its hardware if VR is to continue beyond the next year or two. Because it is out of date and will be even more out of date by then. I would be very surprised if they did not continue to support VR. ”

Sony has already confirmed that there will be a small simultaneous launch of the PS5 and a potential new headset. Numerous patents in the past show that work is still going on, which suggests a massive revision of the current PSVR headset.

nDreams assumes that once the launch of the PS5 has taken place and the console has consolidated in the market, you will hear more about PSVR 2.
