The Last of Us Part 2: a collectible parody letter to Neil Druckmann, its director

They define him as a scientist who was previously respected, but who currently performs “questionable experiments.”

The story of Ellie and Joel continues several years after the events narrated in the first installment, so exploring places remains one of the most important features of The Last of Us Part 2. The Naughty Dog team has not forgotten the collectibles and has filled the world with some very curious letters, including one dedicated to the figure of Neil Druckmann.

Of course, his recognizable face appears accompanied by a fictitious identity. It responds to the name of Dr. Uckmann (a clear play on his name) and is defined as a scientist who carried out quite questionable experiments: “In the past he was a reputed researcher, but Dr. Uckmann’s questionable experiments to exceed human limits set him apart the scientific community ”, you can read. Some, including the Kotaku medium, have interpreted these words as a possible reference to the crunch lived in Naughty Dog.

The description of the letter continues as follows: “Even Laurent Foucault, from the SPARK laboratories, known for his amorality, doubted their activities. Undaunted, Unckmann secretly continued his work and created a super AI to order to protect the investigation while he and The New Dogs mount sophisticated robberies to finance themselves. He constantly shifts his lab so that no one can find him. He longs for the day his subjects are treated as equals. ” The card defines him as a neutral villain.
