Castlevania’s most classic spiritual successor returns from the hand of its own creator, the creative Koji Igarashi.
Alternatives to E3 2020, canceled by the coronavirus, have given rise to different alternative events. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s about Time was presented at the Summer Game Fest a few hours ago, but now it is the turn of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2. Koji Igarashi, creator of Castlevania, has come out on the virtual stage of the New Game Plus event Expo to present the first trailer for their video game, which will go on sale for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).
After a first installment and the release of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Artplay develops this title with a retro flavor. “I hope you have enjoyed the Bloodstained saga so far,” said the creative during his speech. “Based on the goals we designed during the Kickstarter campaign, we were able to create an 8-bit spin-off called Curse of the Moon. We were so happy to see how much the fans had enjoyed the game that we made the decision to make a sequel. ”
Like the first installment, the title continues the line of the original and follows a retro 8-bit style aesthetic. This is reflected, of course, not only in the graphics, but also in their sonic appearance. The chiptone music of the eighties and nineties resonates in this adventure that follows the guidelines of the traditional Castlevania.

New Game Plus Expo was announced as a digital event aimed at Japanese companies. The entire broadcast took place on the same day, June 23, although the broadcast will culminate with its own special flourish: a meeting with the developers.
