Glob Games today announced their first next-gen title ‘MicroMan’, which will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch and the PC.
Microman is built from the ground up as a single player experience. The release will combine elements of action adventure, arcade, and survival games, among others. The main protagonist is a lab technician who falls into an experimental capsule as a result of an unfortunate incident and shrinks to the size of a small insect.
The player’s goal will be to find a way to return to its normal size. As the developers explain, the way to do this will be neither short nor easy, and the gameplay promises diverse, interesting and surprising elements.
“When we were young, most of us thought about growing up and growing up from time to time. The opposite situation could also be fascinating. This topic was used by Jonathan Swift in Gulliver’s travels about 200 years ago, where the main protagonist was in the land of the giants. In more recent times it has appeared in the Ant-Man comics or in the film Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. MicroMan is obviously inspired by this work, but at the same time it will be something completely new and unique in the game industry ”- says Karol Marcinkowski, Vice President at Glob Games Studio.
You will encounter powerful enemies such as ants, frogs and hedgehogs, you can use unusual means of transport, e.g. B. a butterfly, you have to overcome huge obstacles and always make sure that your hero is in good physical shape. MicroMan also includes decisions that directly affect gameplay.
MicroMan will be released in the second half of 2021.
