It was pretty clever from Sony to unveil the new DualSense controller for the PS5 just before a Microsoft event, which got everyone’s attention right away.
This is reflected again in the social networks, where the DualSense controller is well on the way to setting a new social-like record. Already in January Sony inspired the masses with the PS5 logo alone and has since received 5.36 million likes on Instagram.
The DualSense controller apparently seems to outshine this record of a gaming product quite quickly, which already has over 4 million likes. So surpassing the PS5 logo doesn’t seem like a big deal anymore.

Of course, the followers also play a certain role here, with Sony keeping over 22 million loyal, while Xbox only has just under 10 million followers. Nintendo ranks third with around 6 million followers.
It’s hard to imagine what will happen when Sony reveals the final console design of the PS5, which is planned for the coming months. The Japanese also assure that the PS5 will be available as planned for Christmas 2020.
