Resident Evil 8 – Even more details from the test demo

Playfront

Already on Tuesday, new details from the test demo of ‘Resident Evil 8’ came online, which is apparently currently being tested in the Capcom Ambassdor program. This is followed by further details today.

It describes the same gameplay section in which you as a player walk through a village to get to a castle while being attacked by monsters. Today it says:

“The” wolf-like creatures “reported in previous leaks have been described as beasts and attack with massive claws. There is an escape sequence in which some versions of the demo do not have access to a weapon and are forced to either use it for security reasons only or sneak around it – and others where you have a pistol that is completely ineffective against these creatures and you are similarly forced to flee or hide. Eventually you trip over a shotgun and can barricade a door to slow down your attackers. The shotgun is much more effective than the pistol, but the beast was very spongy. In some versions of the demo, a bell rings and the beasts disappear, while others are called away by something / someone who is invisible. ”

Furthermore, parallels to Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 3.5 are mentioned again, with elements such as hallucinations. Also mentioned is a group of villagers who attack each other and set fire to the houses. This ends the demo.

Again, it cannot be confirmed to what extent this information applies. Resident Evil 8 will be announced soon, if the latest rumors are true.
