Biomutant continues in development: it has not been canceled

The title of THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 is seen again after almost two years in the shade. We know what’s new in this preview.

THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 presented during the IGN Summer in Gaming event a long-running gameplay of Biomutant, which had been silent for two years. The long-awaited title, which continues without a release date, presents here its progress based on pure gameplay with its creative director, Stefan Ljungqvist.

As explained, personalization will be one of the most important aspects from the first bars of the adventure. There will be a total of six different classes or tribes, so depending on the type of tribe we will have a series of skills or others. In turn, regardless of parameters such as weight and skill, there will be different types of weapons. As it is a multiplayer experience, they believe that all the modifications we apply to the characteristics will have a noticeable effect on the gameplay.

6 different tribes: variety of weapons, classes, abilities and more

History is another of the fundamental elements of Biomutant, which is currently being developed by only 18 people. They promise a campaign that lives up to what the fans expect, where our mission will be to destroy all the bosses of the place. These bosses will be of different sizes and with more or less aggressive patterns. When we can avoid the movements of the enemies, time will slow down for a few moments if we do it at the right time. In fact, in the video we can see some examples on land and in underwater environments.

Finally, they have also talked about weapons, interchangeable, modifiable and with very varied statistics. The graphic section of the game does not change, it will have great lighting, huge environments and a great emphasis on color, which they hope can be enjoyed at an audiovisual level due to its already confirmed dynamic climate

Biomutant does not have a release date yet, but if everything goes well it will be released soon on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. During the conversation they did not mention anything about a possible version on the next generation consoles.

FreeGameTips was able to play Biomutant at E3 2019. You can see our impressions in this preview, where we highlight the design of the world, its mechanics and the playable options available.
