The band and Sony released the music video from LOVRA, which was announced a few weeks ago and was completely created in ‘Dreams’.
The single “Someone in the Dark” was created in collaboration with Warner Music Brand Partnership, Sony PlayStation and the two German Dreams creators Marc (marcilein98) and Lars (bigsurf77).
“I was totally flabbergasted by what the boys were doing. We harmonized wonderfully and the collaboration was a lot of fun, ”reports LOVRA. “For me, Dreams is a world full of creative possibilities. You shouldn’t set any creative boundaries because there are no such limits in Dreams. ”
The two creators – Dreams players who create creative content with the tools of the PS4-exclusive game – reproduced the single under the artistic direction of LOVRA. With the extensive music tool within Dreams, the creators recreated the instrumental part of the single – only with the original track as a template – and underlined the song with an animated music video. All models of the characters contained in the video, all surroundings, animations and tracking shots were created in dreams.
“It all started with the conception,” says the creator Marc, who took care of the visual part. “What do the story and visuals look like? What is the style of the video? After these questions, we went into modeling and planning the individual scenes. ” Creator Lars, who was responsible for the re-enactment of the musical part, is very proud of the resulting work. “Above all, I am glad that LOVRA is so enthusiastic about the results – it feels good after the hard work.”
