Zero Trace Operative, a video game designer with a very special love for the first Silent Hill, has spent the last five months recreating the intro of the game in the first person. A work that has wanted to share with everyone and that can be downloaded and tested from here. This is a demo of the project that ZTO began as a remake of the mythical game that Konami left us in 1999. Although it only lasts about five minutes, it is a fascinating experience reminiscent of PT (Silent Hills) in which the fog, the sirens and the town remain as frightening as the first time. "As the fans weren't going to have any details for the 20th anniversary of Silent Hill, I decided to make a remake of Harry's nightmare," ZTO comments on his blog. “I have spent hours reviewing the original gameplay to get as many details as possible. Of course, I haven't used any of the game's materials and modeling, so this is a 99% true reconstruction of the world of Silent Hill made from scratch. It has been a truly intimate experience with one of my favorite games of all time. Seeing from within that world, as Team Silent should have seen it and putting myself in their shoes has been something of awe, to be honest. ”
The designer, who puts the voice to Harry himself and gives him his own personality, has used the demo to make himself known and has announced that he will now work on two of his own original projects, which he will reveal more Over the next few weeks. As for the saga, it lives its own nightmare: oblivion, and we have to settle for retrospectives waiting for its resurrection.
