What’s new in Ultimate Team
FIFA 21 will incorporate new features that will have a significant impact on regular users. All players will start the matches at their maximum physique, which makes it a statistic that you no longer have to manage from the menus. This adjustment has shaken up the supply of consumables so far: we say goodbye to the training cards, physique and personal healing. Injury times will be reduced through a letter that will have only two versions, which will shorten the period between 2 to 5 games.
For the first time in the mode, we will be able to play cooperatively with another friend. Being captain of your team you can invite another player to enjoy Divisions Rivals and Squad Battles as a couple. When you participate in FUT Coop you will access a selection of challenges designed for this mode that will reward you when you make the leap to playing solo.
On the other hand, the study wants to reward players who remain active daily. It will be through FUT Events, a program of events for a limited time in which to participate in challenges with the community. For example, in one of them you can join one of the five teams available in search of completing the group objective. Your activity and those of the rest of the fans will be added to the global; if you are in the champion, you will receive new items.
The new icons that are incorporated into this sort of interactive hall of fame have a Spanish flavor. Fernando Torres and Xavi Hernández are two of the eleven legends who will debut in FIFA 21. The aim of this installment is to offer 100 icons in one place; Among the new faces we can find that of Eric Cantoná, Petr Cech and Samuel Eto’o, among others.
Personalization will be extended in such a way that we will even have our own stadium. The “FUT stadium”, as they call it, will be an unprecedented venue that will improve along with the progress of our club. You will be able to edit everything, from the entrance animations to the type of structure of the stands. If, on the other hand, you prefer a licensed stadium, you can also choose it, in which you will have the opportunity to select tifos, images of the fans, and so on.
Live the football party
Like every year, FIFA 21 introduces specific improvements for the experience at the controls. The artificial intelligence has been improved so that each player occupies their role more precisely, especially in the transitions between attack and defense. Now, for example, if we have the ball on the wing in full counterattack, the team’s attackers will follow the play just as they would in their position. The same happens in defense, where anticipation is key. More than ever the attributes of the players will be key.
The animation engine has been refined to eliminate collision issues. Players will now resolve crash situations among others more realistically, shortening the time frames in which it remains out of our control. This is just a hint of the features that are coming October 9.
Recently we also knew the first data around Volta. Street football is expanding to offer the possibility of playing together with other friends. The company wants to make mode one of the key pieces of its offering. It will be in it where we will participate in a story mode from the hand of Kaká, the Brazilian joy of the past decade.
We will visit five new cities: Paris, Sydney, Dubai and Sao Paulo. Dubai will be chosen to celebrate the great Volta championship, in which we will face the best teams formed from all over the globe.
Jump into the new generation of FIFA
FIFA 21 is part of the Double Version program. If you buy the game on PS4, you can jump to the PS5 version at no additional cost. The offer runs until the launch of FIFA 22, so you have almost 12 months to spare.
Your progress in Ultimate Team and in VOLTA mode will be migrated to PS5. The only thing you’ll lose is progress in Online Seasons, Co-op Seasons, Career Mode, and Pro Clubs. Therefore, everything you achieve within FUT on PS4 can be carried over to your new platform.
