Apple has responded to Epic Games following the request of the latter to restore Fortnite: Battle Royale to the App Store while resolving the legal conflict that links both companies. The North American giant led by Tim Cook has presented a legal document in the Court of the Northern District of California where it accuses the person responsible for the video game of theft of commissions; they want compensation.
According to the information advanced by CNBC, this disagreement has a single denominator: money. Apple maintains that Epic Games only seeks to evade the payment of the commission that its partners must receive through the integrated purchases of the video game, money that Apple then offers to the developers of its platform, they say.
“The Epic lawsuit is nothing more than a disagreement based on money. Despite the fact that Epic knows itself as a modern corporate Robin Hood, the reality is that it is a multimillion dollar company that only wants to avoid paying for the enormous value it obtains through the App Store ”, it can be read in the note.
