League of Legends welcomes Samira in patch 10.19

In this update, Riot Games is also looking to encourage players to enter the competitive LOL scene.

Samira is the new League of Legends champion, a new character that will join Riot Games’ MOBA starting with update 10.19, as the company has announced through a post on its website. In addition, this version will focus its attention on balancing the product for the world championship. According to the Americans, their intention is to “give a little push” so that more people are encouraged to enter the competitive circuit. “These upgrades are primarily aimed at shooters, junglers, and central lane champions.”

Champions

Ahri

  • W cost and cooldown reduced.
  • Changes to Ahri in version 10.18 were too cautious in terms of power. We give you some power back by upgrading your W to make it more satisfying.

W – Fire Fox

  • COOLDOWN 10/9/8/7/6 seconds ⇒ 9/8/7/6/5 seconds
  • COST 55 mana ⇒ 40 mana

Akali

  • Q base damage and AD ratio reduced.
  • We’ve seen an increase in Akali’s presence on the pro scene since the 10.16 enhancements. We’re reverting the previous changes (10.16 and 10.12) to make sure this deadly assassin doesn’t fully dominate the Worlds metagame.

Q – Five-pointed plenum

  • BASE DAMAGE 35/60/85/110/135 (+0.65 ability power) ⇒ 30/55/80/105/130 (+0.6 ability power) (attack damage ratio remains same).

Aphelios

  • Basic DA growth increased.
  • Our Moon Man emerged from the pro meta with constant debuffs. It’s time for you to regain some faith in your weapons.

Azir

  • W bonus attack speed reduced.
  • Azir has risen to be one of the leading magicians on the professional scene and has become the standard choice for progression compositions. Since pro players can get more auto attacks with 3 soldiers than lower MMR players (and activate the bonus double attack speed), we’re reducing the ratio.

W – Rise up!

  • BONUS ATTACK SPEED 20/30/40/50/60% ⇒ 15/25/35/45/55%
  • BONUS ATTACK SPEED WITH THREE SOLDIERS 20/30/40/50/60% ⇒ 15/25/35/45/55%

Caitlyn

  • Base AD and attack speed growth decreased.
  • Caitlyn has been dominating and we’re not sure that even with the previous debuffs, the playing field will level. While we don’t like to put the handcuffs on the sheriff, it seems like the wise thing to do to add diversity to the bottom lane in the biggest tournament.

Basic statistics

  • ATTACK DAMAGE 64 ⇒ 62
  • ATTACK SPEED GROWTH 4% ⇒ 3.5%

Irelia

  • R’s base perimeter damage and barrage increased at later levels.
  • Irelia wields her blades gracefully, but she could use a little more power. We’re strengthening his ultimate so he doesn’t slow down as the game progresses.

R – Edge of the Vanguard

  • BASE WALK DAMAGE 125/225/325 ⇒ 125/250/375
  • BASE PERIMETER DAMAGE 125/200/275 ⇒ 125/250/375

Ivern

  • E slow increased.
  • Ivern has seen little play in pro games despite his good performance in other skill groups. This change encourages Ivern to work with his friends to catch up with his enemies.

E – Clockwork Seed

  • SLOW 40/45/50/55/60% ⇒ 50/55/60/65/70%

Lucian

  • Basic DA growth is reduced.
  • Similar to Akali, Lucian is poised to be a dominant flex pick at the World Cup. One of the main reasons is his solo street prowess, so we’re getting him on track by lowering his experience progression.

Basic statistics

  • ATTACK DAMAGE GROWTH 2.75 ⇒ 2.3

Senna

  • Reduced the chance of obtaining Specters of the Mist when killing minions.
  • Senna has come to the fore as a bottom lane carry and utility shooter in the professional meta. We’re slowing his progression through Specters of the Mist so other traditional hypercarries have options.

Passive – Absolution

  • MIST SPECTRES APPEARANCE CHANCES 8.33% of minions killed by Senna (approximately one every 2 waves) ⇒ 4.166% of minions killed by Senna (approximately one every 4 waves)

Sivir

  • Passive bonus movement speed increased.
  • Sivir is missing, so we’re increasing her ability to hunt down enemies in hopes that she will revert to her power state as a boomerang.

Passive – Thousand feet

  • BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED 30-50 (levels 1-18) ⇒ 35-55 (levels 1-18)

Sylas

  • R’s cooldown reduced at later levels of the skill.
  • Sylas has found himself shackled on the pro scene due to a weaker lane phase and stronger champions over-countering him. This will allow us to amplify their true specialty: stealing one ultimate here and one there … that is, their Appropriation.

R – Appropriation

  • COOLDOWN 100/80/60 seconds ⇒ 100/70/40 seconds

Twisted fate

  • Base movement speed decreased.
  • Twisted Fate continues to be an unstoppable force in the pro meta as a safe marauder, so we’re reducing that ability.

Basic statistics

  • MOVEMENT SPEED 335 ⇒ 330

Udyr

  • R cone damage increased.
  • Tiger Stance is typically the choice for Udyr players, so we’re adding a bit more grit (and burn) to his Phoenix Stance and AoE damage playstyle.

R – Phoenix position

  • CONE DAMAGE 50/95/140/185/230/275 (+0.6 ability power) ⇒ 60/110/160/210/260/310 (+0.7 ability power)

Vayne

  • R bonus AD increased.
  • Vayne has been in the shadows for a while and is not succeeding in areas where she traditionally was, so we’re expanding Vayne’s window of power to show her in those moments for which you have chosen her.

R – End time

  • BONUS ATTACK DAMAGE 25/40/55 ⇒ 35/50/65
