The new miHoYo game has a cooperative multiplayer mode to enjoy with friends, but there are nuances. We explain it to you.
Genshin Impact is now available worldwide. The new miHoYo action RPG project can be downloaded for free on PS4, PC, iOS and Android with many hours of content and a multiplayer mode with which to greatly expand the experience. This mode is cooperative, it opens the doors to play in company; so we are going to explain how to unlock multiplayer and how to play with your friends.
How to Unlock Genshin Impact Multiplayer
When we start playing, we will have to spend a few hours getting to know the Genshin Impact universe alone: mechanics, skills, menus and missions until we reach level 20. But the world of Teyvat allows access to multiplayer if we reach the adventure rank 16. If we are not rank 16 we will not be able to unlock it. A note: your character level is not the same as the adventure rank.
Once we have reached rank 16 of the adventure, a star at the top of the interface (on console) or with the F2 button (on computer) will allow us to enter multiplayer mode. Depending on the friends that we have added (the UID must be shared) we can play either only with friends or with strangers; even allow which people can join the game. In total, Genshin Impact allows you to play with up to 4 people at the same time.
Conversely, we can also join our friends’ games as guests; it changes practically nothing. In company you can complete missions and dungeons, explore terrain, collect materials and dress beasts.
Genshin Impact was released this September 28 worldwide for PS4, PC, iOS and Android. We tell you how to download it for free (free to play) in this article. In a while we will also have a version for Nintendo Switch, currently in development; in turn, new details will be released on PS5 soon.
