Gran Turismo 7 promises 4K, HDR and 60 FPS

Polyphony’s PS5 project is still undated, but it does show some interesting technical details

Gran Turismo 7 does not have a release date yet, but it does show some of the features that it will have thanks to the various capabilities of the PS5 and its DualSense controller. Perhaps one of the most newsworthy of the new details offered is the confirmation that the game aims at 4K resolution with HDR – as long as your television supports 4K and is compatible with HDR, of course. The official website also talks about “aiming” at 60 FPS, which cannot be read as a promise, but rather as a declaration of intent.

More real driving

Along with this important detail, we can see how some of the features coincide with some of the strengths that are being promoted of the new Sony console. For example, mention is made of “fast charging”, with specific mention of the integrated SSD, which will allow us to quickly jump between waiting lobbies and races, as well as choosing without charging between a wide variety of cars. 3D Audio, one of the highlights of the first PS5 technical presentation offered by Mark Cerny, also has its place here, as it will allow us to identify the position of other cars that we do not see through sound.

Finally there is special mention of some features with the DualSense. The haptic system will allow us to experience how the car responds on the surface and the small bumps that we will find along the way, while the adaptive triggers will allow us to experience the weight of the pedal or the vibrations of the ABS system for a driving that seeks to be more real. only in terms of graphics but also in terms of sensations.

The seventh installment of the oldest saga was shown for the first time in the presentation of PS5 in June, but at the moment it has no announced release date.
