Wolfenstein: Youngblood updates for free with new maps, skills and more

The latest production of MachineGames continues with its expansion plan and adds numerous content at no additional cost.

The fight against the Nazis continues. The new Reich is still standing and has ruled from the end of the Second World War until the 1980s, the date on which Wolfenstein: Youngblood, the new installment of the veteran saga, which now develops MachineGames and Arkane Studios, creators of Prey and Dishonored 2. The study has just released update 1.07, which adds various free content, including maps, skills, new missions for the end-game, etc.

The patch notes uncover that when studying artefacts from Laboratory X, the location of a second Da’at Yichud camera is revealed, under the floor of Little Berlin. Apparently, the Nazis found a sealed chest that supposedly contains an object related to the golden key. At the moment, they have not managed to open it, but who knows, maybe the allies manage to do it.

The enemies guarding the secret bunker

After completing the secondary mission Da’at Yichud artifacts, players will have access to a new secondary mission, Treasure Hunt. It will take place in a strange secret Nazi bunker. In that place, we will have to face three new types of enemies: the Wurmlochsoldat, who have teleportation ability, the Electrodrohe, which as the name suggests uses drones, and finally, the Turmhund, capable of using a turret.

Once this is done, the newspaper will be updated to show a list of 20 treasure maps in the missions section, so we will have to look for the rewards all over Paris. Every artifact we get will allow us to gain experience, silver coins and skill points.

In Wolfenstein: Youngblood a skill tree was implemented that branches into three distinct paths: mind, muscle and power. All of them receive new powers: Rapid Resurrection, Double Hilt Expert and Silent Assassin, respectively. Another of the skills that are introduced gives us the possibility to locate the different tesoses. In addition, the title is updated with new skins, such as the fireman's.

Update 1.07, available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, will arrive later on Nintendo Switch.
