All about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order; feel the strength

Respawn Entertainment traces the story of the fall of the Jedi Order just as Emperor Palpatine rises as supreme ruler.

The truth is hidden among deceptions, those of the dark side of the force, that weaves its nets using the lie. In the heart of the Galactic Republic, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine is the one who manages the destiny of millions of citizens, while in the shadows he prepares everything for his final thrust: the coup d'etat that will determine his rise as emperor of the Galactic Empire. Jedi Star Wars: Fallen Order tells the story of the end of the Jedi Order, which tries to compose itself from the ashes from the shadows.

Cal Kestis, a former Padawan, survived Order 66, an executive law drafted by Palpatine with the aim of seizing power from the Jedi. The clones, hitherto loyal soldiers to the republic, were really their master, Darth Sidious. Therefore, with the exception of a few dissidents, they did not hesitate to execute those who until then had been their comrades in arms. Kestis got rid of death, but was forced to flee to prevent the empire from hunting him.

Time to fight back: Cal Kestis does not give up

Tired of fleeing, the Jedi decided to stop running to face the dark side of the force. After all, isn't it the goal of the Jedi to end the reign of the Sith? Thus, the young man brandished the lightsaber again to star in this new work of Respawn Entertainment, an action title and platforms that make the lightsaber clashes one of its most important points. Together with Cal Kestis, we will visit planets already known in the Star Wars universe, but also other original places that we have never seen in the saga.

Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have worked alongside Lucasfilm at all times. Not surprisingly, as happened with the story told in Star Wars: Battlefront 2, the argument becomes Disney canon. In this way, there are a series of rules that govern when configuring each aspect of the video game. One of them is the issue of dismemberment, which will not be present, not at least regularly. According to Respawn, the team follows the guidelines of Lucasfilm, who advocates to reserve these situations at very specific moments of the saga. Mind you, the androids keep flying apart.

Difficulty modes, skills and more

That Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is influenced by Sekiro: Shadows die Twice, Hidetaka Miyazaki's most recent work, is something they have recognized in Respawn Entertainment. However, this is a mass saga, which does not have to be an expert when playing video games. Therefore, the developers have decided to implement three different levels of difficulty: the easiest will be a minimal challenge, although it is intended for those who wish to enjoy history; the second, the equivalent to normal mode, will increase the difficulty a bit. Finally, the difficult mode will be more complicated than they had outlined at first, or at least that suggests Stieg Asmussen, director of the video game.

In that sense, the study added these difficulty modes to reach more public. However, there will be other aspects that will not be altered to make things easier for the player. This is the case of fast travel, an element that often appears in current video games. All in all, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will do without them to invite the user to explore the locations.

As in many other action games, the character will improve his skills as the adventure progresses. In fact, some of Cal Kestis' powers will not be unlocked until history determines. They say in Respawn that the skills will be linked to the script. We can expect Jedi powers and new combos with the laser sword.
