The Outer Worlds does not discard new content; Obsidian works in another RPG

The study, which Grounded presented at Microsoft's X019, has mentioned that they have many things currently underway.

Obsidian Entertainment is already one more within the Xbox Game Studios team. All have got to work to prepare the next Microsoft titles, both those that will arrive in the medium term and those that are planned for later. With Grounded newly announced during X019, Obsidian still works at The Outer Worlds. It does not confirm that they will publish downloadable content, but it does indicate that they will continue to support it. In addition, they are immersed in the development of a new RPG.

The information comes from the hand of Eurogamer. Adam Brennecke, director of Grounded, said in statements to the British media that they are working on something new: "We have a great RPG underway right now." The journalist has asked Feargus Urquhart, former CEO of the company, about the number of games the studio has in development. “More than one, less than forty. We are working on a few. ”

The Outer Worlds has a future

The Outer Worlds team, meanwhile, has not parted with this production. “What has always been interesting to be an independent developer was: who is going to pay for the support?” If the publisher does not pay the post-launch support then the problems arise, because you have to think about how to finance it and determine if there is interest in do what.

“In the world of Microsoft, they let us handle the study based on what makes sense for franchises. I no longer have to settle these day-to-day decisions as much as before. People love Outer Worlds and we did it because we liked it too, so we're going to keep doing things that help support it.

Grounded will go on sale on Xbox One and PC. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass. The Outer Worlds, on the other hand, was developed before Obsidian signed for Microsoft, so it saw the light on PS4 along with the other platforms. In 2020 it will be released on Nintendo Switch.
